All PDF Tools
SmilingPDF is one private workspace for everything PDF: 65 tools to edit, merge, split, compress, convert, sign and secure documents, plus image tools for your photos. Everything runs in your browser, so there are no uploads, no account and no watermarks.
Browse by what you need to do. Convert moves a file between PDF and other formats, Pages rearranges and trims documents, Security protects, redacts and signs, Extractor pulls text and data out, and Image Tools handles photos. The tools below — editing, forms, comparing and compressing — don't fit neatly into one group, so they live here.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Got questions? We've got answers.
Are all the tools free?
Yes — the core toolkit is free, with no watermark added to your files and no sign-up required.
Are my files uploaded when I use these tools?
No. Every tool here runs in your browser, so the file is processed on your device and is never sent to a SmilingPDF server. Only anonymous usage counts — which tool was used, never what was in it — leave the page.
Which tool should I use to edit text in a PDF?
PDF Editor. It renders each page on a canvas where you can rewrite text that is already there, add new text, images or shapes, then export the result. To sign a document, use Sign PDF.
