Crop Images Online

Trim the edges off a JPG, PNG, or WebP image — freeform or to a landscape, portrait, or square ratio — with a live preview.

Aspect ratio

Crop Image trims the edges off a JPG, PNG or WebP with a live preview. Drag the crop box, type an exact percentage for each edge, or tap Landscape (16:9), Portrait (9:16) or Square (1:1) to centre-crop to a ratio without stretching. The trimmed pixels are removed, so the image is smaller in dimensions, and the format stays the same.

What you can do

  • Drag the box on the preview, or type Top, Bottom, Left and Right percentages.
  • One-tap ratios — Landscape, Portrait and Square — or Freeform for full control.
  • Format and transparency are preserved: a JPG stays a JPG and a PNG stays a PNG.
  • Batch: the same margins are applied to each image, computed from its own size, in one ZIP.

How it works

  1. 1Drop your image onto the page.
  2. 2Pick an Aspect ratio, or choose Freeform.
  3. 3Drag the crop box on the preview, or adjust the percentage fields.
  4. 4Click Process File, then Download.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Got questions? We've got answers.

How does cropping work?

The trimmed edges are actually discarded, not just hidden — the output image is smaller in pixel dimensions, containing only what's inside the margins you set.

Will cropping change the format of my image?

No. A JPG stays a JPG, a PNG stays a PNG (transparency intact), and a WebP stays a WebP — only the pixel dimensions change.

Can I crop different edges by different amounts?

Yes — top, bottom, left, and right each have their own independent percentage.

What do the Landscape, Portrait, and Square buttons do?

Each one centre-crops your image to that exact ratio (16:9, 9:16, or 1:1) by trimming the minimum needed off two opposite edges — nothing is stretched or distorted. Freeform clears that and lets you set all four percentages yourself.

Can I drag the crop box directly on the image?

Yes — drag inside the box to move it, or drag a corner handle to resize it. The four percentage fields below update live as you drag, and either one works: type exact numbers, or just drag.

Can I crop multiple images at once?

Yes — upload as many as you like. The same margins are applied to each one, computed from its own dimensions, and they're packaged into a single ZIP.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your images never leave your device.
