Reorder PDF Pages Online

Drag pages into the order you want, then download the rearranged PDF. Nothing is uploaded.

Reorder PDF Pages lets you change the order of a document's pages without retyping or rescanning anything — useful for a report assembled out of order, a scanned packet that came out back-to-front, or slides that need a different flow before you send them on. Drag thumbnails into place, or use the arrow buttons if you're on a phone or prefer the keyboard. The file is rewritten with pages in the new order and nothing else changed.

What you can do

  • Drag thumbnails into a new order, or use the arrow buttons under each page.
  • Reverse the whole document in one click, or Reset to start over.
  • Only the order changes — page content, links and page size stay exactly as they were.
  • No page-count cap and no watermark.

How it works

  1. 1Drop your PDF onto the page — every page renders as a thumbnail.
  2. 2Drag a thumbnail to a new position, or use the ↑/↓ arrow buttons under it.
  3. 3Click Reverse to flip the entire document's order in one step.
  4. 4Click Reset at any point to put every page back where it started.
  5. 5Click Process File, then Download to save the rearranged PDF.

Why use SmilingPDF for this

  • Original page content, links, and page size are preserved exactly — only the order changes.

This tool runs inside your browser tab. Your file is read from your device, processed there, and handed back as a download — it is never sent to a SmilingPDF server, so there is nothing for us to store, read, or lose. You can check for yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab and run the tool. Like most sites, SmilingPDF uses Google Analytics to count visits and which tools are used; that never includes the contents of your files. The privacy policy lists everything the site does collect.

Frequently asked questions

Got questions? We've got answers.

How do I rearrange pages in a PDF?

Upload your PDF, then drag any page thumbnail into the position you want. You can also use the arrow buttons under each page, which is easier on a phone and works with a keyboard.

Can I reverse the whole document?

Yes. The Reverse button flips the entire order in one click, which is the quickest fix for a document scanned back to front. Reset puts everything back to the original order.

Does reordering change the page content?

No. Pages are copied across whole, so text, images, links, and page size are preserved exactly. Only the order changes.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is read and rewritten inside your browser, so it never leaves your device.

Can I delete pages here too?

Not on this page — use the Split PDF tool to keep only the pages you want, then reorder the result if you need to.

Is there a page limit?

No. Very long documents take a moment to draw all the thumbnails, which fill in as they render, but there is no cap and no watermark.
