Is my information uploaded or stored on a server?

No. What you type stays in your browser. It is saved in your browser's local storage on this device so you can come back to it, and the PDF is created on your device. SmilingPDF never receives your résumé. Anonymous usage analytics record that the tool was used, never what you wrote.

Will this résumé pass applicant-tracking systems (ATS)?

It is built the way those systems read best: a single column, standard section headings, and real selectable text instead of images. No builder can promise a particular system will accept a résumé, but nothing in these layouts, such as tables, columns or text boxes, tends to confuse them.

How long should my résumé be?

One page is usual early in a career, and two pages is fine with a longer history. The Résumé check tells you when yours runs past two pages. The Compact template and the smaller text size help fit more on a page.

Can I write my résumé in Hindi or another non-Latin script?

Not yet. The PDF uses standard built-in fonts, which draw Latin letters (including accented ones like é and ñ) but not scripts such as Devanagari, Arabic or Chinese. The builder warns you if your text contains characters it can't draw, and shows them as a question mark rather than hiding it.

Will my work still be here if I close the tab?

Yes, on the same browser and device, until you clear your browser data or use Clear all. It does not sync to other devices, so use Export data to save a JSON copy, and Import data to load it elsewhere.

Can I edit a résumé I already have as a PDF?

The builder starts from the details you enter. To change a finished PDF, use the PDF Editor, or convert it with PDF to Word and edit it there.

Are the links in the PDF clickable?

Yes. Your email address and any website, LinkedIn or GitHub links become clickable links in the PDF.
